With most of the Droid 2 Global handsets still on the way to the homes of Motorola’s customers, some folks have wasted no time in cracking the phone’s defenses. In less than a day since the phone arrived, it looks like it’s now ready to be loaded with custom ROMs. Though it should be awhile before any are released- it’s nice to know that the Android community is ever vigilant, pouncing on every opportunity to unlock a new phone whenever one hits the market. Rooting is the process of giving the user complete permission over the phone- allowing the user to modify files that are usually read-only and the ability to install custom ROMs. How many of you are planning to root your Droid 2 Global when it arrives?
