Dell Venue Pro replacement units have SIM card problems

What’s worth with purchasing a brand new phone with problems? If you said getting it replaced for another phone with different problems, you’re right. And that’s what users of the Dell Venue Pro have been experiencing recently. The Windows Phone 7 device that was plagued with problems from the start, has been giving even more problems recently. After users complained about problems with their Dell Venue Pro phones, Dell issued a statement saying that they will be able to replace their phones with new ones that shouldn’t have any problems. It seems that Dell was wrong. According to a number of reports online, users who exchanged their phones for new phones ended up with phones that couldn’t even detect their SIM cards. Even after trying out other units in the store itself, it turned out that none of the other phones could detect the SIM card as well. Talk about a downhill launch. With a device that was so highly-praised before it was released, the Dell Venue Pro has definitely sunk to an all time low with these problems. I wonder what Dell will do to rectify the situation- this is one device that won’t go down well in the history books. Did any of you encounter the same issues with your Dell Venue Pro replacements?
