Xiaomi Gemini Spotted In Geekbench Listing

It looks like the Xiaomi Mi 5 is not going to arrive after all, as it will be known as the Xiaomi Gemini instead. This particular device has shown up in a Geekbench listing, where it depicts the handset as being powered by a MSM8996 chipset, which happens to be the very same “heart” that is of the Snapdragon 820. Needless to say, this is quite a performer, having picked up a 2,140 score in the single-core test, and if one were to take Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 into comparison, the latter has a score of around 1,300.

Existing heavyweights from the Exynos camp that happen to power many a Samsung Galaxy device would hit a score in the region of approximately 1,500 points, although the highest scoring model of them all would be the Apple A9 chip that sits comfortably at the top with a 2,500 score thereabouts. As for its multi-core numbers, the Xiaomi Gemini is not all that impressive, as it lags behind the Galaxy S6 generation.
