ZTE Star 3 Could Come With 4K Display

Fancy picking up a smartphone that has a resolution count which is higher than what your TV in the living room has? If you have answered in the affirmative, then perhaps you might want to check out the upcoming ZTE Star 3, where it has been touted to be the first smartphone in the world that will ship with a 4K display.

So far, whispers on the street point to the ZTE Star 3 launching with a 5.5” display that will boast of a resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels alongside a PPI of 806. In the same rumor, it was also suggested that a TFT Panel with a special crystal structure will be used, as this technology claims to lower the overall power consumption while making sure that the display strength is improved. We do know that Sharp’s 4K smartphone display is only ready for mass production next year, so chances are the ZTE Star 3’s 4K display will hail from elsewhere.
