When it comes to flagship smartphones, you know for sure that there is a need to come up with a certain level of technology packed within, in order to have it retain that cutting edge as opposed to lesser handsets. Having said that, the OnePlus 2, while not officially released yet, is starting to be teased in bits and pieces by the folks over at OnePlus. We do know that it will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, where we now have accompanying news that it will make use of a USB Type-C port.

OnePlus claims that it would like “to lead the way in power connectivity”, which has resulted in the use of USB Type-C – being the similar port on the Chromebook Pixel by Google, the new 12″ MacBook from Apple, and other computers, too. The best thing about USB Type-C? It is reversible, which solves plenty of headache when it comes to slotting it into a USB port, and it is also tiny enough to see action on phones.
