If you have ever used the remittance service that is known as Western Union, I am quite sure that you would also be more than familiar with the speed and convenience of it too, all rolled into one. Well, it is interesting to hear that VoIP giant Skype has teamed up with Western Union in a bid to make it a whole lot more convenient when it comes to helping out loved ones.

Basically, this collaboration is to ensure that the act of sending money to friends and family would be a whole lot more meaningful, where it would also include helping out a loved one with groceries or a car payment, all the way to springing a surprise to Mom on Mother’s Day. Skype users would have more options to play around with, too, where customers will be able to pick up Skype Credit at participating Western Union Agent locations, using that newly purchased credit to make calls to mobiles and landlines around the world.

As an added incentive, anyone who refills their Skype Credit at a participating Western Union Agent location from April 1, 2015 to November 1, 2015 will be on the receiving end of a voucher for an additional $3 in Skype Credit, now how about that? This particular voucher will expire this coming November 30, 2015. [Press Release]
