Hmmm, if you think that you are willing to come to a compromise between a pretty decent smartphone with that of rugged features, Samsung might have just the thing right up your alley – and I am referring to the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3. Having been announced today, it is set to be paraded at CeBIT later this year, targeting an April release date with a price point which will hover in the 275 Euros range.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3 is touted to adhere to MIL-STD 810G specifications, which means it can handle drops of up to 1.2 meters without missing a beat, while boasting of IP67 rating, which in turn would mean it is dustproof and waterproof for up to 30 minutes when submerged in a body of water that is no deeper than a meter.

Other hardware specifications include support for LTE (Band 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20), a 4.5-inch WVGA display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 2200mAh battery, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a 5 megapixel shooter at the back with underwater shooting mode support, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, altimeter, compass, GPS, NFC and KNOX.
