Sony was not exactly the fastest kid in the block to deliver the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its smartphone range, where the entire rollout kicked off not too long ago – two weeks, to be exact, and even then, it was with a soak test in the Nordic and Baltic countries, where the Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z3 Compact were the models on the receiving end. Not too long after that, it was the Z3 Tablet Compact and the Z2 generation that followed, including smartphone and tablet. Having said that, Sony has expanded the availability of the update “to further markets worldwide”.
It is said that the Xperia Z2 as well as the Z2 Tablet are the models that will be on the receiving end of this particular update from next week onward, which will certainly bring about a sigh of relief from those who have been waiting for so long.
