HTC One (M9) Is Now Official

[MWC 2015] HTC used to be the bee’s knees when it came to smartphones – Android-powered ones especially. They did go through a phase where the company looked to be in trouble, but a revival of sorts happened with the introduction of their flagship, the HTC One (M7). That proved to be a more-than-decent flagship device, even among its peers, and needless to say, the HTC One (M8) was a class act that followed. With plenty of rumors of a new model ready to replace the HTC One (M8), all of that waiting has finally arrived in the form of the HTC One (M9), never mind the huge number of rumors and leaks that surrounded the handset before it became official. Now just what will the new HTC One (M9) bring to the table?

For starters, we will be able to find a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor underneath the hood, where it will obviously work with Android 5.0 Lollipop as the operating system version of choice – anything less, and it would be a real shock and disappointment. Apart from that, the 5” display will deliver a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution, while carrying a 20MP as well as 4MP cameras to help you take some really stunning photos – selfies or otherwise.

So far, we do know that Best Buy has already listed a 32GB version of this bad boy, where it will see action on AT&T’s 4G LTE network over in the US with an asking price of $650, which would pretty much put it on par with what flagships would normally cost. Having said that, it would be interesting to see how HTC’s rivals, Samsung with their soon-to-be announced Galaxy S6, will be priced.
