Do you feel like you need to upgrade your current handset due to its growing sluggishness, but do not really have the kind of budget to pick up a high end handset? Well, here is a possible candidate for you – if you happen to reside in South Korea, that is. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Max has been unveiled in that part of the world, where it will retail for $290 unlocked – after conversion, of course.

Expect this latest addition to the Samsung Galaxy Grand family to come with Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, with the very real possibility of Android 5.0 Lollipop arriving soon. Other specifications include a 5.25” display with 720 x 1280 pixels, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 13MP camera with LED flash at the back, a 5MP front-facing camera with a wide 120-degree viewing angle, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, and LTE connectivity, all of it crammed into a chassis that measures 146mm x 74.8mm x 7.9mm as it tips the scales at 161 grams.
