Samsung Galaxy Ace II x Catches Fire

Ontario university student Hope Casserly would certainly have permanent memories of October 22, and not because this is the day where something fantastic happened to her, or she graduated top of her class, but rather, because she was rudely stirred from her slumber at 1:30 a.m. by a loud popping sound. Casserly then said, “My back was to the phone and ah — I saw a light going across my shoulder, which would be the inside of the battery on fire. It hit the wall and fell onto my bed.”

She continued, “I realized it was a fire and so I half sat up and put out the fire with my pillow … looked over and realized there was another fire and put that out with my pillow again and … turned on all the lights to see what happened.”

Apparently, her Samsung Ace II x that was located on her night table, which was not plugged in and placed screen-side up. , has exploded. Samsung has already sent Casserly a replacement phone, but she is still scarred by what has happened to use the spare phone. Looks like we ought to be more wary of just what our smartphones are secretly capable of these days.
