If you happen to live in India and are looking for a new smartphone which packs a fair amount of technology underneath the hood without breaking your 170 Euros budget, then the XOLO 8X-1000 would fit the bill perfectly. After all, this bad boy will run on XOLO’s very own HIVE OS, which itself is based upon Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat, where it has been touted to be “Made in India, Made for India”. Not only that, HIVE OS users can also share their ideas with the development team, where those with the highest number of votes will be implemented in the next over the air update whenever possible.

As for the hardware specifications of the XOLO 8X-1000, it will feature a 5″ 720p display at 294ppi, an 8MP Sony Exmor R shooter with f/2.0 aperture, a Mediatek MT6592M chipset, a quad-core Mali-450MP4 graphics chip, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot. A 1,920 mAh battery will keep it running, while the front sports a glass panel that is made out of ASAHI Dragontrail glass, with the back using Corning’s Gorilla Glass.
