Samsung Galaxy Alpha Revealed

It has been a long time in coming, but the most elegant looking device from the Samsung Galaxy series of smartphones has finally been announced, where it will be known as the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. It will feature a lovely metal frame that is accompanied by elegantly curved corners, as well as a tactile soft back cover.

As for the hardware specifications are concerned, most folks would not be disappointed considering it packs the following – a 4.7” HD Super AMOLED display, an octa-core (quad 1.8GHz and quad 1.3GHz) or quad-core 2.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a 12MP camera at the back with a 2.1MP front-facing shooter, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, NFC and LTE support, with Android 4.4.4 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice.

Unfortunately, one glaring miss would be the lack of a microSD memory card slot, so make sure you maximize the use of the 32GB of internal memory wisely. Other features that will arrive on the Galaxy Alpha include Ultra-Power Saving Mode, S Health, Finger Print Scanner, Private Mode and connectivity with the latest Samsung Gear Fit, Gear Live and Gear 2 wearables. You will be able to purchase the Galaxy Alpha from September onward, and depending on the market you live in, you can choose from shades of Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver, and Scuba Blue.
