Samsung Infringes Upon Yet Another Apple Patent

It seems that the legal tussle between two behemoths of the tech industry, namely Samsung and Apple, is far from over. In the most recent Apple vs. Samsung patent trial that was held in California’s Northern District court, Judge Lucy Koh did enter a summary judgment yesterday. Her summary judgment found that Samsung’s Android-powered devices happen to infringe upon a specific patent that is currently under the jurisdiction of Apple.

Apart from infringing upon the text autocomplete patent that is used in iOS, Judge Koh also threw Samsung’s patent related to “multimedia synchronization method and device” out of the trial, citing that the latter patent which was purchased in September 2011 nearly half a year after the beginning of patent disputes between the two behemoths was done so by Samsung in order to use it as its defense in court. It looks like Apple has the upperhand at this point in time.
