Xperia Z1 Launched In China, Carries Model Number L39t

China Mobile seems to have another heavyweight smartphone up their sleeves, giving the world’s largest mobile carrier even more ammunition in their stockpile – especially when you consider that they would be adding the Sony Xperia Z1 (also known as the L39t in that part of the world) to the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, where the latter two models are touted to arrive this coming December 18th – making it just in time for some frenzied Christmas shopping.

Just to refresh our memories, the Sony Xperia Z1 will sport a 5” display with 1080 x 1920 resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, a 20.7-megapixel camera at the back, and 2GB RAM to boot. The China-bound model will be slightly different underneath the hood though, as it ditches the 16GB of internal memory that is found in the international version of the phone, settling for 32GB instead, with the caveat that it does not come with a microSD memory card slot. Bummer!
