Vodafone Gets Own-Branded Smartphone, The Smart 4G

I guess it does make perfect sense for Vodafone to come up with its very own branded smartphone, and the Vodafone Smart 4G would be their first attempt. Using the services of Coolpad from China to manufacture the Vodafone Smart 4G, this is no high end device, but it will be the first from Vodafone to feature LTE connectivity while carrying the Vodafone brand.

Hardware specifications are nothing impressive, with a 4.5” IPS display at 960 x 540 resolution, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, optional NFC, a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus (MSM8930) processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory with a microSD slot, and an 8-megapixel camera at the back. It is already available at Vodafone Spain, where you can pick it up for nothing on a contract, or to fork out around €200 for an unlocked version. [Product Page]
