Sony Xperia S Jelly Bean Update Arriving In May

Jelly Bean watchers, heads up! While it was originally promised that the Sony Xperia S would be on the receiving end of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update sometime last month, I guess there was a spanner in the works as March came and went without so much as a beep – but thankfully, there is still some sort of closure from the entire experience, where a leaked update roadmap for the French carrier SFR showed that the Xperia S will be receiving its Jelly Bean update later this May.

A little bit of time travel is required here, as the Sony Xperia S was first introduced to the world in February last year, where it arrived with Android 2.3 Gingerbread in tow, before it managed to pick up the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system update. Of course, this does not mean that progress would halt there, although it has been confirmed that the Jelly Bean update would be the last stop for the Sony Xperia S.
