Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Specs Leaked [Rumor]

Rumor has it that Samsung could be working on new phablet-like devices under the Galaxy Mega moniker. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen, but as it stands, there are two devices part of the alleged Galaxy Mega lineup – a 6.3″ model and a 5.8″ model, and thanks to the folks at SamMobile, they claim to have gotten the specs of the 5.8″ model, also known as the Galaxy Mega 5.8. Interestingly the specs appear to be rather mid-ranged and somewhat outdated, but if we had to guess, perhaps Samsung is looking to attract customers to their phablet range by making it cheaper than the Galaxy Note 2, and hopefully the experience will prove to be good enough for customers to eventually upgrade to the Galaxy Note 3, or Galaxy Note 4 in the future.

So what sort of specs are we looking at? For starters it will feature a 5.8″ qHD display and will be powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM. It will come with an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and will most likely run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Take these specs with a grain of salt for now, and as there is no official date as to when the Galaxy Mega will launch, fret not as we will be keeping our eyes peeled, so check back with us at a later date for more info.
