It has been more or less a year since Google Glass was first shown off to the world at Google I/O last year, and the announcement back then was certainly filled with plenty of flair and action, as it brought a new wave of joy to voyeurs out there, and basically anyone else who wants to record whatever they are looking at at the moment. Well, it goes without saying something that generates plenty of buzz might just see the green-eyed monster emerge in its business rivals, and there are already rumors going around that Microsoft is thinking of rolling out its own pair of Internet-connected glasses to rival the Google Glass.

This bit of information was revealed by Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets, and this particular analyst claimed that Google Glass will also mark be the beginning of a “major push” where wearable technology is concerned. It seems that Samsung and LG were touted to be working on their very own next-generation of wearable accessories, too.
