iPhone 5S Rumored To Feature Fingerprint Scanning Technology

It is safe to assume that this year, Apple will be releasing a new iPhone. Whether it will be a brand new iPhone 6, or if Apple will stick to the “S” theme and release a slightly improved iPhone 5S remains to be seen, but according to Brian White, an analyst from Topeka Capital Markets, he seems to think that the iPhone 5S will be launched this year with an interesting feature – a fingerprint scanner. This fingerprint scanner was previously rumored to be destined for the iPhone 5S. A later rumor suggested that this would not be the case and it would arrive on the iPhone 6 instead. We’re not sure what’s with the back and forth, but we guess we will need to see. Unsurprisingly White thinks that there will not be major changes made to the iPhone 5S.

Instead White thinks that there will be an improved camera and possible rearrangement of the left side buttons, although we expect that there will not be any radical departures in design. White also goes on to claim that the fingerprint scanning technology will be marketed the same way Apple marketed Siri for the iPhone 4S. Pretty interesting stuff but since none of this info can be verified, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt for now.
