If you happen to live in Europe, then heads up if you have been hankering after the LG Optimus G that was announced in select markets at the last quarter of 2012, as this smartphone will be making its way to Sweden before March arrives, followed by other European markets including France, Germany and Italy in due time. Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said, “Since the successful initial launch of Optimus G, LG has continued to improve the smartphone to offer better usability and value for our customers. We’re excited to be bringing to Europe the improved Optimus G, our most powerful Quad-Core device optimized for 4G LTE networks.”

The European version of the Optimus G will come with Google’s latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, while its True HD IPS Plus display that works in tandem with Zerogap Touch technology will definitely do its bit to deliver eye popping visuals. LG claims that this display will be able to offer the smoothest, most sensitive touch experience on a smartphone up till now, although I am quite sure that different smartphone manufacturers might have a thing or two to say about that. Its 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 IPS display will receive additional protection by the scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 2. [Press Release]
