The Huawei Ascend P2 is expected to be announced at MWC 2013, and so far we’ve seen the device leaked in photos several times. Interestingly enough, it seems that a certain Huawei GL07S has been announced by Japanese carrier, Emobile, and based on the press shots, it bears a striking resemblance to the Ascend P2 (at least based on the leaks we’ve seen so far). However apart from sharing some similarities in aesthetics, there are some differences under the hood that makes it a different device.

For starters the Ascend P2 is said to sport a 1.8GHz quad-core processor made by Huawei, but in the case of the GL07S, it will instead feature a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. It will also come with 32GB of internal storage while the Ascend P2 is said to offer 8GB as a base instead. It will also sport a slightly larger battery a 2,350mAh versus the rumor 2,200mAh on the Ascend P2. Apart from that, the GL07S will come with 2GB of RAM and a 13MP camera and 4G LTE connectivity, making it Emobile’s first LTE device.
