Future iPads Could Come With Laser Keyboard According To Patent

We’re sure you guys have come across iPhone concept videos which shows the iPhone projecting a laser keyboard onto the table, making typing a much more comfortable experience compared to the cramped virtual one. While it seemed like a mere fantasy at that time cooked up by rather imaginative fans, it seems that it might be possible that one day such a iDevice could happen. According to a patent discovered by Patently Apple, it has been revealed that the Cupertino company has toyed with the idea of bringing the laser keyboard to the range of iPads. While the iPad’s virtual keyboard is pretty comfortable to type with, having a project keyboard would most definitely free up some display real estate, allowing you to have a clearer view of what you’re typing or viewing (on a website for example). Of course this is merely a patent so there is no way to tell if Apple will ever make it a reality, but fans of the laser keyboard and the concept videos can probably take some comfort to know that their ideas weren’t so far-fetched after all.
