Apple Execs Sure To Be Hopping Mad With Brazilian iPhone

Published

I was about to make a joke about a Brazilian iPhone, but since this is a family-friendly site, I will choose to take a different route. Basically, the gist of the story is, Gradiente (aka IGB Eletrônica), who owns the iPhone trademark in Brazil since 2000, has rolled out an Android 2.3 Gingerbread-powered iPhone Neo One that will surely have Apple executives wondering whether this will result in a mix up among consumers when the Apple iPhone is also sold in that country.

The iPhone Neo One will be far inferior in terms of hardware specifications to the actual iPhone though, as it has a measly 480 x 320 resolution on its 3.7” display, with two cameras (one VGA camera in front and a 5-megapixel shooter behind), and a microSD memory card slot. Will you fork out $305 thereabouts for an unlocked iPhone Neo One?
