Samsung Galaxy S4 Speculated To Feature 4.99″ Full HD Display

The display of Samsung’s Galaxy S series has been increasing with each generation, although with the rumored Galaxy S4, it seems that Samsung could be wading into Galaxy Note-esque sized displays. During CES Samsung took the wraps off several new displays, such as their flexible displays along with other regular displays. One of these displays on show was a 4.99″ Full HD Super AMOLED display which according to the tag in the photo, will be shipping in Q1 of 2013, making this display ripe for the Galaxy S4, which assuming Samsung sticks to their yearly schedule, could see a launch sometime in Q2 of 2013. There are several reasons as to why this might be possible – for starters we know that Samsung has been working on a Full HD Super AMOLED display. Secondly with their competitors such as HTC and Sony launching 5″ Full HD displays with the Droid DNA (or HTC Butterfly for our international readers) and Xperia Z respectively, both of which feature PPIs of at least 440, it would not be a stretch of the imagination to think that Samsung would at the very least match the competition at least on the display front. Either way the Samsung Galaxy S4 is certainly heating up to be a highly-anticipated device, but until we see some actual evidence, try not to read too much into this for now, but in the meantime what do you guys think? Possible?
