Is Apple Testing The iPhone 6?

To say that Apple is going to quit the smartphone business would be foolish at the very least, and I am quite sure that this is not the kind of foolishness that the late Steve Jobs asked folks to be, considering how the iPhone is one of the major cash cows for the company. Well, having said that, a next generation of the iPhone is definitely in the pipeline, but we are not quite sure just when the new iPhone will be revealed.

Folks over at The Next Web say that they do have some straw-like evidence of a next generation iPhone in store, where an iOS developer discovered a device that calls itself the “iPhone 6,1” which is powered by a certain iOS 7 that was making requests from an IP address that is located within the Cupertino campus of Apple. Could this be a secret that leaked out prematurely, or just some breadcrumbs to throw us off the right trail? Perhaps, but time will reveal all.
