Apple “iPhone Math” In The Works? [Rumor]

If the iPhone 5’s 4” display is still too small for your liking, word on the street has it that Apple could be looking to launch a 4.8” iPhone later on in the year. This rumor comes from China Times who suggests that Apple will be launching a 4.8” iPhone with an 8MP camera attached to it. They claim that this device is called the iPhone Math which not only isn’t in line with Apple’s naming scheme, but doesn’t really make sense at all. We’re assuming that it is either an internal code name or it has been mistranslated, but either way it does sound a bit fishy!

Assuming the rumors are correct, word has it that this iPhone Math will feature a whopping 4.8” display alongside an 8MP camera. It’s a bit odd considering that this is a pretty big jump in screen sizes, especially since the iPhone 5 was released with a 4” display after years of Apple sticking to the 3.5” display used in previous generation iPhones. However it should be noted that this isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors that Apple could be making a bigger iPhone, but as to whether those rumors pan out is another story. We suggest you take this with a grain of salt for now, but be sure to check back with us later for more news.
