Acer has just officially announced that there is a new smartphone known as the Acer Liquid E1 which will occupy the mid-range Android smartphone market. Just in case you were wondering what kind of firepower the Acer Liquid E1 packs underneath the hood, think the CloudMobile S500, albeit being watered down somewhat, and you have a better idea.

A dual-core 1GHz processor would run the show for the Acer Liquid E1, where it will be accompanied by 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 4.5-inch display at qHD resolution, a 5-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash and a VGA camera in front, and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice. Not too shabby, don’t you think so? The entire shebang measures 132mm x 68.5mm x 9.9mm, where it tips the scales at 130 grams. Unfortunately, someone over at Acer forgot to reveal pricing and availability details, so we will just have to play the patience card here.
