HTC Thunderbolt To Get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update

So, you were one of the early adopters who picked up the HTC Thunderbolt from Verizon Wireless, and apart from battery issues (being too short to handle LTE connectivity for long periods of time), you are pretty much a satisfied customer. Officially speaking, there will be no Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the HTC Thunderbolt, but at the very least, we now have official word from HTC themselves that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is in tow, which is a definite big jump from the current Android 2.3 Gingerbread version that it runs on at this point in time. The thing is, there is no concrete date as to when the Ice Cream Sandwich release will happen, but we sure as heck hope that sooner is better than later.

Well, I am quite sure that there might be some enterprising folks out there who figure out that an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM can be released for it, on an unofficial basis, of course. What do you think?
