Windows Phone 7.8 update coming in due time

Now here is something rather ironic – Windows Phone 8 has already been announced officially by the good people over at Microsoft, and yet the update to Windows Phone 7, namely Windows Phone 7.8, is still nowhere in sight. In fact, Microsoft’s press conference which was held yesterday had nothing to say about Windows Phone 7.8 at all.

The latest rumors going around online point towards Windows Phone 7.8 being released a few weeks after the first batch of Windows Phone 8 powered smartphones arrive in the market, followed by a slew of highly affordable (presumably) Windows Phone 7.8 smartphones to arrive. Keep you fingers crossed that Windows Phone 7.8 is worth waiting for.
