I am quite sure that you have dropped your phone, smart or otherwise, onto the floor at least once in your lifetime. Kudos to you if you answered in the negative, you are truly rare and might want to get that hand checked out just in case you have gained Spiderman-like powers. According to SquareTrade, the top consumer-rated technology protection plan, they have information on a new research that showed off just how 51% of iPhone accidents happen around the home, with the most common place being the kitchen.

Other iPhone accidents that some of us might consider to be “unusual” happen far more common than we would like to think. For instance, there is a 9% toilet mishap statistic, while 5% of iPhone users have put an iPhone in the washing machine before, while 6% of users have put their device on top of their car, driving off absent mindedly.

The kitchen living room, bathroom, driveway and bedroom were polled as the top 5 places accidents with their iPhone happen, with figures of 21%, 17%, 16%, 10%, and 8%, respectively. No idea on the sample size of SquareTrade’s research, but if that’s what they say, which percentile do you fall under? [Press Release]
