iOS 6 has Wi-Fi issues that was resolved later in the day

Are you super excited at downloading iOS 6 for a compatible iOS-powered device of yours, be it the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch? Well, assuming everything with the installation went fine without a hitch, and you tried to connect to a Wi-Fi network, you could have been one of the select who ran into issues of connecting via Wi-Fi. Apple has characteristically remained mum on the issue, but the entire shebang seemed to have been fixed already.

Just what went wrong, anyway? Apparently, it seems that had to do with a deleted web page on Apple’s servers. Let us explain, iOS 4 normally pinged a page on Apple’s servers (http://www.apple.com/library/test/success.html), where upon a successful ping, the WiFi connection was deemed to have hooked up, but make the assumption that you were on a network that required a login if otherwise. Somebody must have deleted that page from the server by accident, resulting in failed pings worldwide, but since then, the page has been restored, with everything running in a peachy keen manner. All’s well that ends well, no?
