So it seems that the Windows Phone 8 party has just gotten a little bit merrier, with word that Huawei’s upcoming Windows Phone 8-powered device, the Ascend W1, will roll out sometime this year, meaning there is just one more quarter left to go (thereabouts) before we are actually able to see just what the Huawei Ascend W1 is all about. This would mean that Samsung, HTC and Nokia will no longer be the only players in the Windows Phone 8 game, and there are also additional rumors going around that a more powerful device known as the Ascend W2 is also in the pipeline, flying the Windows Phone 8 flag in the process.

Huawei’s Chairman of Devices, Richard Yu, mentioned on the Chinese social network Weibo, claiming that sources from within the company claim that the Huawei Ascend W1 will arrive sometime between November and December, where it should carry a price tag that is the equivalent of $320 after conversion, coming in black, blue, pink and white shades.
