Aston Martin Android-powered phone lacks performance to go with the name

Generally speaking, the more you fork out for something, the better you would expect it to be compared to the rest of the field, right? This is not quite the case when it comes to Aston Martin’s Android-powered smartphone. For starters, we are talking about a mere 800MHz single core processor riding underneath its hood which is accompanied by a miserly 256MB RAM and has the company of a 3.2” HVGA display.

Surely those specifications belong to a handset that was released sometime a couple of years ago, and even back then, it would have been a mid-range device at best. In this day and age where quad-core processors hold the fort as the flagship model, this Aston Martin smartphone certainly does not deserve to wear the badge of the famous racing car. Even worse is the fact that depending on the color option of your choice, you will have to fork out anywhere from $1290 up to $1590, with Android 2.3 Gingerbread in tow.
