Word on the street has it that Qualcomm, a name behind a fair number of processors that are used in smartphones and tablets, is working on a new Snapdragon S4 Pro processor which will hold four cores, and it is being prepared to see action on the upcoming LG quad-core processor smartphone. The thing is, confidential industrial agreements has been signed, so no further comments on the Snapdragon S4 Pro-powered smartphone by LG are forthcoming, even from Qualcomm, at least not until LG themselves step forward with an official announcement. What Qualcomm can share, however, would be the fact that this handset is “currently in production” and be released in South Korea sometime this September, and most probably, it will be followed by a global launch in due time.
