Nokia Lumia X to feature optical zoom in camera?

When it comes to Windows Phone 8, it goes without saying that there is just one major smartphone manufacturer that rolls out phones running on that particular operating system – Nokia. The beleaguered Finnish company is not quite finished just yet, and there are whispers that Nokia might just introduce a new Windows Phone 8 powered device known as the Nokia Lumia X, and from a revealed image from a tipster known as ‘Johnny’, he claims to have a ‘friend that worked at a Nokia design studio’, resulting in what you see above.

The Nokia Lumia X seems to be hugely inspired by a far earlier handset model known as the Nokia 5700, where it was powered by the Symbian operating system and came with a rotating camera which allowed you to perform video calls. It is interesting to note that the Nokia Lumia X’s rumored camera will also feature a 4x optical zoom, which is quite a standout point to consider especially when most cameras in the smartphone world come with just digital zoom.
