Verizon’s LG Optimus Vu spotted in the wild

Not all companies are like Apple who are capable of keeping a device under wraps right until the very last moment, but then again, that is a good thing since websites like us would have less stuff to talk about without any juicy leaks, right? It seems that someone spotted LG’s Optimus Vu in the wild that carried the Verizon Wireless badge to boot, which more or less confirms that Verizon Wireless will be the carrier that will be offering the LG Optimus Vu when it arrives.

Now, the LG Optimus Vu is no ordinary smartphone, as it will join the ranks of the Samsung Galaxy Note as a phablet, considering the extra large size that it comes in. The additional screen real estate is a boon to those who love watching videos while they are on the go, but it would also mean you will need to purchase pants with extra large pockets, and do not mind talking on what some might deem to be as large as a small plate. Still, the LG Optimus Vu is not going to come cheap since unlocked international models have been said to retail for close to $1,000 thereabouts. Gulp! Image courtesy of Android Police.
