LG Prada 3.0 gets Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update across the pond

Do you happen to live in either Germany or Italy? If you answered in the affirmative and are also one of the few who own an LG Prada 3.0 smartphone which runs on the Android 2.3.7 operating system, then you will need to take note – it seems that the LG Prada 3.0 has already received the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. Well, do bear in mind that this is not going to end up as a simple OTA (Over The Air) update, where you will first need to make sure that your LG Prada 3.0 is connected into a Windows powered macine, before you launch the LG Mobile Phone Support tool that runs only on a Windows-based PC.

Basically, if you own a Mac, you might as well start being nice to your friends who own a Windows powered notebook or desktop. The entire operating system update will just take a matter of minutes, and the process will not affect your stored data in any way. LG, of course, prefers to tread on the side of caution, where the LG Prada 3.0 is said to be updated without having you lose any of your data. Obviously, you would do well to make a backup of your data before performing the update, since you can never be quite sure as to when something might go wrong, somewhere.
