Sony Xperia tipo comes in two flavors

Another day, another new smartphone from the good people over at Sony. It does seem to me as though their split with Ericsson has done them a whole world of good, and the smartphones delivered that bear just the Sony name are nothing short of impressive. Having said that, one of the two smartphones announced by Sony today would be the Sony Xperia tipo, where it will come in two flavors – the standard tipo, as well as the tipo dual. Obviously the naming convention of the latter gives the game away, where you are able to switch SIM cards (carrying two SIMs inside) at the touch of a button.

Apart from that, everything else about the Xperia tipo dual is the same as the standard tipo. Among the hardware specifications that we are looking at include the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system right out of the box, a 3.2” scratch-resistant mineral glass display, a 3.2-megapixel shooter, a dedicated set-up guide, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a battery which is touted to last for over 24 hours before requiring a recharge. No idea on pricing, but it will come in red, white, blue and black colors.
