If you are one of the select few who wished that smartphones did not venture beyond the QWERTY keyboard, and hope to see future models retain that bit of legacy hardware just for old times’ sake as well as practicality (since you love to text while your drive, and you cannot do so with a touchscreen phone since it is tricky trying to remember where the letters without any physical buttons to guide you), then you would be pleased to hear about the Samsung S425G for TracFone. This unique handset comes with a landscape sliding QWERTY keyboard, clearly targeting heavy texters.

As for the rest of its hardware specifications, we are clearly looking at a 2.4” QVGA display, a 2-megapixel shooter that is capable of performing video recording, Bluetooth connectivity, a speakerphone, music and video playback, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. The operating system of choice? Something out of the ordinary – in fact, it runs on a Java-based platform.
