Back at MWC 2012 earlier this year, Nokia took the wraps off the Nokia 808 PureView Symbian smartphone. Granted Symbian isn’t exactly the dominating operating system at the moment, but given Nokia’s success with the N8 and with the 808 PureView being the successor, we guess die-hard Nokia fans will not care too much. After all with a whopping 41MP camera sensor with Carl Zeiss lens being packed in the 808 PureView, its operating system is probably the last thing on many peoples’ mind. Anyway if the 808 PureView is a phone you would love to get your hands on, Nokia has announced that the handset will be available for purchase in the US via Amazon.com where it has been priced at $699.99 (inc. shipping). It is unlocked and off contract, which means that if you were hoping for carrier subsidy, you’re out of luck. It will be compatible with both AT&T and T-Mobile networks although it will only support the latter’s 2G network. Head on over to Nokia’s website in the source link below for more details. So, who’s planning on getting their hands on the Nokia 808 PureView?
