Samsung Galaxy Nexus for Sprint now available for pre-order

After much anticipation, rumors and speculation, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has finally been announced and is currently up for pre-order via Sprint’s website. The device will set customers back $199.99 on a new two-year contract and is expected to be made available come April 22nd. It should be noted that while the device does support 4G LTE, availability of LTE connectivity will depend on the area you are in as Sprint has yet to fully roll out its LTE network. Until then you guys will most probably have to contend with 3G speeds.

The specs of the device will remain the same as its Verizon counterpart. This means that would-be customers can look forward to a 4.65” Super AMOLED HD display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 5MP rear-facing camera and a stock Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich user experience. As the device will be launched on Sprint’s network, we guess the inclusion of NFC along with the Google Wallet feature did not really come as a surprise. So, who’s looking forward to getting their hands on the device? [Press release]
