Google TV hitting Europe this September?

Word on the street has it that Sony is hard at work to deliver Google TV to our friends living across the pond, on the continent known as Europe. Financial paper Les Échos has quoted Sony France’s marketing director that a couple of devices – namely a set-top box and a Blu-ray player will arrive in France later this summer, with the former retailing for €200 apiece, while the latter will sell for €300. There is also the possibility of a launch across the UK, Spain and Germany happening simultaneously, with Sony’s Stephane Labrousse adding that remotes for the new devices will also boast a dedicated Android Market Google Play button which will enable said devices to gain access to the Android universe’s collection of apps and media content right in the comfort of your living room. In addition, there will also be the presence of Sony’s very own Music Unlimited service right from the get go. No idea on whether these set-top boxes will run on Intel processors or the ARM range set.
