Verizon announces the LG Lucid 4G for 29th of March

The LG Lucid 4G headed for Verizon has been rumored for a while now and has even seen its specs leak, but the good news for those who have been looking forward for an official announcement is the Verizon has stepped forward and has taken the wraps off the device. The carrier has officially announced that the LG Lucid 4G will be making its way onto the carrier’s network come March 29th and will go for a very affordable $80 on a new two-year contract.

For those who might have missed all the fuss and the various leaked photos and specs of the LG Lucid 4G, you can expect to find a 4” Android 2.3 Gingerbread handset powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP rear-facing camera capable of 1080p Full HD video capture and according to Verizon, the device is scheduled for an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the future although no specific dates were mentioned. So, any takers?
