Samsung Galaxy S3 rumored April launch refuted

While MWC certainly displayed quite a lot of interesting and high-end Android handsets, a lot of anticipation has been reserved for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S3 handset. Unfortunately the device did not make it to MWC, but Samsung has promised that it will be launched closer to the middle of the year. However some rumors have suggested that perhaps Samsung will be launching the device in April, and if you bought those rumors, prepare to be disappointed.

Samsung themselves took to Twitter to dispel those rumors, claiming that they have yet to decide when to release the phone and that they will announce it when they have settled on a date. However while not confirmed, it seems that the April launch date is for another Samsung device, which is reportedly an LTE-enabled handset but it will not be the Galaxy S3. The later launch date of the Galaxy S3 is to reduce the time between the announcement and shipping, which was a problem with the Galaxy S2 when it launched, leaving quite a huge gap between its announcement and US release, a mistake that Samsung is attempting to avoid again.
