Heads up Sony Xperia S owners or would-be owners, it looks like Sony has finally granted the Xperia S access to the PlayStation store. Previously for early adopters of the device, a placeholder was put in place instead of the real PlayStation store, but according to reports, starting on Tuesday (yesterday), those who clicked the app for the PS Store were taken to a website where the storefront and the PS Pocket app were available. However before you rush out to download the app onto your Xperia S device, you will need to do a couple of things.

For starters, you will need to enable your device to install non-Market apps. This can be found in Settings > Applications, then in the app tray on the device, you will need to click “Let’s start PS Store”. It should also be noted that if you want to gain access to Sony’s gaming catalog, you will need a PlayStation Network or Sony Entertainment Network account.
