Nokia Lumia 800 battery improvement update begins rolling out en masse

While the Nokia Lumia 800 is a decent piece of hardware with good software, one of the many complaints users had about the device was its poor battery life. This issue manifested in the form of the phone being unable to charge to full or dying extremely fast. Well the good news for Lumia 800 owners is that the update that supposedly will fix the battery is beginning to roll out to the masses.

Unfortunately the update will only be pushed out in batches, with the first batch starting today with the next few expected to roll out on the 4th, 11th and 18th of April, so don’t worry or get alarm if you have yet to receive the notification informing you of the impending update. Based on user reports from users who have received the update a while back when it was first rolled out to Singaporean owners, it seems that the update has indeed addressed the battery issues, so hopefully there will be no hiccups this time round.

On top of addressing the battery problems, the update will also be bringing enhancements in the device’s audio, and have also ensured that the soft keys on the device illuminate at all brightness level settings.
