Nokia 808 PureView will most likely not make its way to the US

Remember the Nokia 808 PureView that was launched at MWC? The phone sure grew gasps of amazement and disbelief at the 41MP camera sensor packed into the device, but for those of you living in US, the bad news is that the 808 PureView will apparently not be making its way into your markets. We guess we can’t blame Nokia for choosing to ignore the US market when it comes to the Symbian platform, which hasn’t really seen that much support in the US, plus given the fact that it is a dying platform, we guess Nokia decided to concentrate their efforts elsewhere with the 808 PureView.

However fret not because it has also been reported that the 808 PureView’s camera technology will be making it into Nokia’s Lumia series of Windows Phone handsets in the future, and with Nokia launching several Lumia devices stateside already, rest assured that you will be able to get your hands on a Lumia handset in the future with the 808 PureView’s camera technology on board. In the mean time, we guess the only way you’d be able to get your hands on the Nokia 808 PureView is if you were to get it imported.
