Motorola Xyboard gets spill-proof

For those of you out there who might be a bit clumsy, spilling water onto your electronic devices is usually a big no-no, and it seems that Motorola understands that very well and has since announced the availability of spill-proof Motorola Droid Xyboard tablets. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because these are the new Motorola Android tablets that made its way onto Verizon’s network as the Xyboard 8.2 and the Xyboard 10.1.

The pricing fortunately has remained the same, but it looks like Motorola will not be upgrading existing Xyboard owners with spill-proof protection, so for those who bought their tablets prior to this announcement, you might want to keep it away from liquids. The Xyboard 8.2 will be available for $399.99 for the 16GB model, $499.99 for the 32GB model, while the Xyboard 10.1 will retail for $499.99 for the 16GB model and $599.99 for the 32GB model.

On top of that, it seems that Motorola will be throwing in a free portfolio case and a HD dock which is apparently worth $89.98, but it should be noted that this is a limited offer, so hurry while stocks last!
