Motorola RAZR receives Android 2.3.6 update in Europe

Yes, we know that the Motorola RAZR is set to receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich sometime in the future, but for now it looks like RAZR owners in Europe will have to contend with a smaller update – to be more specific, an update to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. Granted it’s not the highly anticipated Android 4.0 update, but we have a feeling that updates are still welcome especially when they have been designed to address certain issues and bugs plaguing the device.

The 2.3.6 update will be bringing about several bug fixes and performance improvements, such as featuring a new user interface in the settings menu, a Smart Actions feature, a VIP Caller Mode (rules for handling individual contacts), better battery performance, improved stability and some tweaks for the RAZR’s camera. More information about the update and its changelog can be found over at Motorola’s website.
